San Francisco Bay Small Boats

After re-rigging Spaulding Marine Center’s FREDA, I began heading up their rigging shop. Many of the boats coming to Spaulding are classic wood  sailboats with tired stainless standing rigging, so I’ve been replacing wire & fittings with new gear, adding in  some leatherwork as  needed.  More &  more vessels are using Dyneema-based line, so I’ve branched out into splicing & working with various forms of single & double braid modern cordage.
