Captain Jack Sparrow’s ship in the Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2, 3, & 5 was not a single vessel, but rather by my count 8 separate ship hulls or parts of hulls, 2 huge models, & 10 mast set pieces.  When I was hired to design & build the rig for this iconic vessel for the first movie, I had no idea how many times I’d replicate it, for various movie scene needs, CGI work, & publicity events over the next 20 years.
