A full scale replica of a 9th Century Viking ship built by Robert Asp that sailed to Norway in 1982. The ship has been inside the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead, Minnesota since 1985. I did an initial rig inspection when I found the majority of the polypropylene line to be severely worn from its voyage and recommended replacement. There were no blue prints, so I took measurements and drew up a scale drawing in order to plan the material needs for replacement. This project is slated for replacement this March 2026.
